At Malaika, we recognize the importance of focusing on the entire community.
At the Kalebuka Football for Hope Center we offer health and education classes to youth and adults, along with our sports programming. Literacy rates are very low in the DRC, only 46% for adult women, and even worse in Kalebuka, so our lessons are very well attended.
We offer a range of programs, like sewing classes where the women are learning an income-generating skill, giving them more opportunities in the future.
