Then and Now: Audience Maloba Masangu

As the students form a core part of Malaika’s ambitions, we decided to spotlight a few who have been with us from the beginning. Audience finished 6th grade this past year and will be continuing her studies this fall.

“Over the course of  seven years, Malaika has proven to be far from a simple school, given its different achievements in the community. Malaika contributes to the development of the community by investing in education at the Malaika School; a community center; and health, by providing the community with safe drinking water.  It is a privilege for me to be part of this generation that benefits from the realization of Malaika. Malaika has provided myself and my fellow students with an amazing example which we will carry through the rest of our lives.

That’s why I love my school so much and I’m proud of it.”

When Audience started her studies her village had no access to clean drinking water. Today, over 16,000 people have direct access to fresh water wells that Malaika sponsored.
