Computer science has been the focus of staff training during the past week at Malaika. Marjorie Coestier taught other teachers and students about IT, configuring Mac computers that were donated and programming Thymio, a robot she brought for the school. After two workshops, the students were able to autonomously problem solve. These contributions, along with Marjorie’s training of our teachers, will help increase our staff’s capacity in the use of technology in the classroom with the addition of Mac computers and iPads. Growing access to and knowledge about technology will change life at Malaika. Thank you, Marjorie, and thank you to Mobsya for giving the students this amazing opportunity and the acccess it offers to relevant education for today’s world.
