Malaika is truly a big, global family, which means we care deeply about every individual involved in our programming. We recently lost three of our girls, including one girl who attended our community center with her brother, and whose sister we took under our wings once she, too, became sick.
We are devastated by every single loss, and we honor the memories of these bright young women. We’re doing our best to look after their families and will remain there for them. We cannot wait until school is back in session, so we can closely monitor all of our students and ensure they are healthy, well and safe.
Rest in peace, sweet girls- you’re forever in our hearts.
