We recently spent a few weeks highlighting and lifting up some of the marginalized groups that exist in DRC.
“Because they have every right as a human being to security and social well-being,” explains Claudine, a Malaika student, on why it’s important to support refugees, as well as any and all groups that need extra attention.
“Their life situation is very precarious because of the unjust acts of which they were victims, then to welcome them, to give them a house, food, health is the proof of a good life and will to make life better for everyone in the world. They left their villages for fear of the captors, they would have lost property as well as loved ones, so they deserve any gesture of generosity because they really need it.”
