We had a great visit from Josaphate of the organization Women’s Technology which was created by Thérèse Izay-Kirongozi, the first Congolese woman to design a traffic robot in the world. The organization has several entrepreneurial programs for women such as being a manufacturing contractor in soap, bleach for clothing, toilets, and water disinfection. Josaphate taught the mothers of the community and the school girls how to make bleach, based on what we use every day, which is water and common salt. In order to allow each family to make their own bleach, Women’s Technologies has proposed to manufacture and give Malaika several machines in the coming months to enable healthy drinking water and sanitation.
